Care for the Family run a website to provide help for bereaved parents. They have a number of people to support parents who have lost a child, and all these people have themselves experienced the death of a child and understand the emotions involved. Parents can be put in touch with one of their telephone befrienders by calling 029 2081 0800.
They also run an away day called "Living with Loss" and a "Walk Through Weekend" to help parents deal with their grief.
There are also downloadable help sheets on dealing with loss through death and miscarriage.

- Losing a Partner early in Life
If a young widow/widower would like to talk to someone who understands their situation, they can call 029 2081 0800 and Care for the Family will put them in touch with one of their befrienders. Befrienders are not counsellors, but will informally share from their own personal experience of being bereaved of a partner early in life.
Care for the Family also have a support network for those who have lost a partner early in life. This is an informal way of contacting other people in a similar situation, through correspondence or email. Call 029 2081 0800 or email signposts@cff.org.uk to find out more about the network.
They also have a free newsletter four times a year. These contain articles, often written by single parents themselves, practical ideas, and details of resources to equip parents on their own.
