Resources for Parents
- A new book is out, 2010, for new parents: "Let's Stick Together" by Harry Benson
- Parentline Plus
This is a national charity, focused on families, formed following the merger of Parentline, Parent Network and The National Stepfamily Association. The organisation works to improve support available to all those who parent or contribute to the welfare of children. They recognise that parents want to do the best they can fo
r their children but that sometimes family life can be challenging and difficult.
They encourage parents to see that asking for help is a sign of strength, and work with them to offer practical solutions and to suggest ways to manage their particular situations and difficulties. They offer support and advice on a range of parenting issues, including: aggression in children, bullying, couple conflict, divorce and separation, drugs, exam stress, internet safety, leaving home, smacking, time to talk about sexual relationships.
They deliver this support through an innovative range of free, flexible, responsive services, including a twenty-four-hour helpline 0808 800 2222
