"Let's Stick Together": Address on Family Life at the Conservative Party Conference

Harry Benson, who has been directing Bristol Community Family Trust for nearly ten years and is a prominent user of FOCCUS (see below), was on the main stage at the Conservative Party conference on 7th October, talking on Family Life. His address should be on BBC Parliament online and freeview. It can also be viewed on You- Tube http://www.bcft.co.uk/. Harry is the author of "Mentoring Marriages: Use Your Experience of Ups and Downs of Married Life to Support Other Couples". The book includes an excellent description of how to make good use of FOCCUS.
Note:FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Couple Communication Understanding and Study) is a diagnostic inventory. It is designed for couples considering committing themselves to a long-term relationship. It is now regularly used as part of the Holy Trinity Brompton Marriage Preparation course, where couples who have some years of marriage experience are trained to mentor engaged couples through their marriage preparation process. There is also a REFOCCUS version, for those who are already married. There is additional content to cover dual careers, second marriages, cohabiting couples and interfaith marriages.
